The WSO training series is AWWA’s most popular and comprehensive training program for students and novice to intermediate water system operators. Volumes 1 through 4 provide a complete education in all aspects of public water supply from “source to tap.” Volume 5 teaches practical mathematics, chemistry, electricity, and hydraulics and how these subjects relate to water and water system operations.  Volume 5 is referenced throughout the other four volumes in the series.

Originally developed by AWWA in 1975 to provide professional, practical education to those entering the field of municipal drinking water treatment and supply, the series is used worldwide by water utilities, vocational schools, colleges, universities, and military services. Student Workbooks and DVDs are available as supplemental materials.
